Water Mitigation By The Swade Group

Water mitigation refers to the process of reducing or preventing damage caused by water. This typically involves a series of steps aimed at minimizing the impact of water within the home or business whether it's from a burst pipe, flooding, a roof leak, or any other source of water intrusion.

Inspection: The first step in water mitigation is a thorough assessment of the extent of the water damage and the affected materials. Technicians will determine the category of water that has impacted the structure (CAT 1, CAT 2 OR CAT 3). This assessment helps in devising an effective mitigation plan.

We will bring in pumps and or extraction equipment that are used to remove as much water as possible from the affected areas. This step is crucial to prevent further water damage.

After water removal, the affected areas will be treated with a plant-based antimicrobial application and dried thoroughly using industrial-grade air movers and dehumidifiers. These machines help evaporate any remaining moisture in walls, floors, and other building materials. Proper drying prevents mold growth and further structural damage.

Key Features

  • Structural Drying – The use of advanced drying techniques and equipment implemented through the IICRC industry standards of care.
  • Monitoring and Documentation – It is important to monitor and document the affected areas daily to ensure the materials are drying to an acceptable range. This includes photographs, Thermal imaging, and moisture readings maintained for your personal records and insurance claims.
  • Preventions - It is imperative to take immediate action with the dry-out to reduce or eliminate the risk of bacterial and or microbial growth.
